Gift, Altar, and Reconciliation

Math 5:23

Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;

Math 5:24

Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.Math  5:24

So many layers of spiritual meaning rest within these scriptures. I would like to speak to a particular layer that resonates with me. These scriptures speak about gifts, altars, and reconciliation.

Our gifts are our visions, dreams, and innate abilities. The Altar is our Heart, the seat of our being, and the core of our desires. The heart is the place which is able to animate our visions and dreams and give them life breathing light or cause them to become dreams deferred.

The magical ingredient of the heart, that allows for the manifestation of our gift that connects us properly to mankind and our Creator is the intent hidden within our souls, and thus the admonition to reconcile with our brother before bringing our gift(dreams/visions) to the Altar(hearts/desires).

Often our gifts from the Creator are never manifested into reality because of the corruption of our intentions based on the clogged arteries of our spiritual heart as a result of grudge holding, bitterness, and ignored issues of our relationships past.

The pursuit of reconciliation in all of relationships and the practice of living and expressing a life of forgiveness and release creates within our spiritual heart an environment that is conducive to manifesting the Gift/s of our Heart as a pure offering towards all of creation
